So today, I'll be listing out the Tencent mergers and acquisitions of certain video game companies, including the two new ones, Techland and Visual Arts. I won't be including any shares of international gaming companies or companies outside of the gaming industry.
Despite Tencent having their own video game studio library and being the second-largest video game company by revenue, they've seemed to be investing in other video game companies in other countries, such as Epic Games, Ubisoft, and Kadokawa Games, as well as acquiring some different video game companies under their belt, most notably Riot Games of League of Legends fame. In fact, these acquisitions of companies and shares of companies are not part of the Tencent Games banner, so let's dive into the mergers and acquisitions of certain video game companies by Tencent.
